Mystery Balls

These were designed as colorful covers for Xmas lights. Trouble is, they didn't really work, not staying properly on the little bulbs. I used them for photos instead.

I think these are somehow wrapped around forms with glue, as in decoupage. Maybe? At any rate, the arrangement is great, as is the light. #11283000Michele Peterson April 10, 2015
Fun capture! Love the bold colors against black, and the texture of the yarn/string. #11283199Joy Rector April 11, 2015
love it, beautiful comp #11283451Martha R. Mazon April 11, 2015
Thanks so much, everyone! They are hollow, cylindrical Christmas light covers collapsed in half as they were packaged. To use, you pull out the collapsed half and insert a small white Christmas light to create colored, glowing balls. The design was flawed, however; they small holes by which they attach to the lights are too rigid so after inserting the lights, the slightly widened hole would not allow the ball to stay fixed. So I used them for pictures instead. This one is rotated 90 degrees giving the impression that they are vertically stacked. #11283482Terry A. Stoa April 11, 2015
I really like the detailed textured subject against the black background. Well done. #11283486Tiia Vissak April 11, 2015
