Johnston Canyon

Banff Canada
Johnston Creek flows through a large canyon formed by erosion over thousands of years.
The turquoise glacier water of the creek has cut through the limestone rock to form sheer canyon walls, as well as waterfalls, tunnels, and pools.
It is well worth the hike with a camera in hand.

I love this spot. I know just where you stood. Each time we have a visitor it seems we take them here to J's.C.and each time I shoot a whole new round of images! The lighting is so tricky in this canyon. You did a fanastic job, Heather. I always wish I could capture how this canyon ~FEELS~. We will have to leave that to the IMAX theatre if we can get them here to shot it in full somehow! I give this one a "Bravo!" #1414636Tiia Vissak October 11, 2011
