Piercing....

aperture f/3.5, shutter 180, lens Canon 50mm
This photograph was taken outdoors on March 31, 2005, a little bit past the "golden hour". We were losing light fast and working hard to capture as many exposures as we could before the light totally disappeared.
I toyed with the contrast in Photoshop and used Neat Image to clean up the grain from the ISO 400 film speed.
I did not alter her eye color at all. Hard to believe...but true!

I am not really into "People photos" having grown up in a family full of portait photographers ...but your images are so beautifully done! This one in particular caught my eye. I like that you accentuated her piercings, they are probably very important to her :-) She is a very pretty woman even with them ! #2828303Carolyn Foster Spano May 29, 2006
Thank you Jill. How great to have grown up around portrait photographers. Lucky you!Keith L. Clayton May 29, 2006

Great photo Carolyn! Very nice model, I always think people with 'attachments' displayed give a portrait 'attitude', and if their hair is dyed red, some colour too! Excellent job! #2842917Carolyn Foster Spano June 01, 2006

In my eyes they're not many people looking great with a face percing but your model looks gorgeous with it ! I can't tell in words my feelings about this portrait but I really love the mood, the framing..everything! #2876440Carolyn Foster Spano June 10, 2006
Thank you Sylvia. I appreciate your kind comment. #2877312Steven E. Ray July 15, 2007
To make a metal pierced face look this good is a skill. I see the model is pretty naturally, but this is great photography as well! #4509752Carolyn Foster Spano July 15, 2007
