Fire "flowers" [Photos of Movement ]
Uploaded: September 08, 2007 10:40:46
I made the photo last summer in Blanes, Spain during the fireworks festival. I handheld the camera and used Microsoft Photo Editor for changing the image balance, softening the picture a bit and cropping it. I also got some pictures without visible camera movement, but this seemed more interesting.

This is a wonderful photograph. Working with fireworks can be difficult but boy have you pulled if off here. Great job! Plus in Spain how awesome is that! #4924679Tiia Vissak October 14, 2007
Thanks!I made hundreds of photos (it was a 7-day festival and I took at least a hundred photos every day), most of them were not very good, but I liked some. By the way, it seems to be an annual event and it is really worth visiting if you love fireworks: it's actually a competition between several famous teams, so each team tries to outshine the others.

Thanks! The two "flowers" were really in the sky so I was glad to capture them... not perfectly sharp, but still recognizably.

Capturing fireworks and the flower together and that too without any additional filter is fantastic. It speaks your creativity and accurate composition. The final picture is vibrant in color and sharpness. Congrates. #5021479Tiia Vissak November 03, 2007
Thanks! The fireworks had the shape of flowers. My camera was not completely steady and this gave an interesting effect.
