So adorable and he looks so comfy! #8449793Aimee C. Eisaman March 14, 2010
Sooo sweet...love the rag throw! Very cool! If you are able you may want to dampen the diaper a bit...it's pretty bright. Also I'm a little confused about the DOF here. I have just finished a bottle of wine so that might be why, but can you tell me how his feet and his face are in sharp focus, but inbetween them isn't. Infact even his check looks like it may be in focus. Did you merge more than one image together and remove parts from one? :~) #8455623Dale Hardin March 15, 2010
This is amazing!! That's just how I sleep!! #8455801Jeanine M. Bailey March 15, 2010
Deb, I know I looked at this before and I didn't catch the back portion of the rag blanket then...now my second time back...it is a but distracting being out of focus when everything else is sharp. Sorry I didn't catch that before! BTW...I LOVE that blanket!! :):) #8456496Laurence Saliba March 15, 2010
Oh these images are too cute Debbra!!! #8456569Aimee C. Eisaman March 15, 2010
Agree with Bean on that note about the focus on the blanket there! :~) #8456621Joan E. Hoffman March 15, 2010
LOL... Aimee, when I read you comment about dampening the diaper, I took it entirely the wrong way... I thought... why on earth does Aimee want him to have a wet diaper! But... I eventually clued in!I love this Debbra, excellent work! #8456875

Debbra - I love this one! I do agree on the blanket focus but I keep going back to his feet and how they are arranged? Was that nature or you? Either way it is priceless. #8456950Teresa H. Hunt March 15, 2010
Such a cute image. He looks so comfy.I agree that the diaper is a bit bright. And the out of focus part of the blanket actually looks smudged to me. Weird!
I love the throw too! #8457532

OK, you are all too good!Yes, this is two images I combined - one that was focussed on his face, and one on his feet. I was playing with my 50 mm and using a very small apeture, and I really did not like that much with these shots. But I loved how he wsa laying! And yes Debbie - all natural! I didn't pose him :) I LOVE when they do fun things with their feet!
So, this was my attempt to save the image... I did see the "smudged" area, but I don't have another shot of the rag that really works. I did try to clone, but wasn't very patient!
The throw I made for this shoot. Apparently they sell for a lot online, which I was not willing to pay, so I put my own together. I love it :)
Diaper - once again I totally missed a bright spot - not sure why they don't ever jump out at me... but thanks for the notice! #8457895

Phellos have sharp eyes. Nice pick up on the two shots.I like it overall and think it makes for a great shot. Other than the bit of telltale focus you did a great job on putting these together with an overall very pleasing result that I don't think you could have accomplished easily with any other method.
I would like to see it with the suggestions implemented, which will make it even better, but I do think it works as shown. #8458204

Back in the old country and back in the old days, before Mr Pampers started on his first billion We kiddos wore terry cloth 'nappies' at this age and before the advantage of 'Aerial Super With Bleach,Downy Soft,Double Strength Liquid' I am thinking bright white was never a big problem in photographs! Most of them were probably hand-me-downs from older siblings so would have been great for a 18% mid gray color balance!Ellen H. Robertson March 16, 2010
Very impressive job of combining the two shots. When I opened the thumbnail and saw how focused the feet/face were I was going to ask how you did that. Do agree the diaper is a tad bright. But such an adorable position and your rag throw at first glance looks like feathers, I thought he was in a nest, which I thought was really cool. #8459725Susan M. Reynolds March 16, 2010
The diaper doesn't bother me at all ~ He is just too adorable for words. Great blending of two photos (and the rag blankie- very cool!)...I still can't do that! #8460470Jeff E Jensen April 18, 2010
