This so cool! Excellent DOF. This brought back memories. Many, many years ago in my youth, I did the same thing. A Robin's nest was by my bedroom window. We had found a dead Robin close by. Watching constantly, the mother never returned. I took the 3 newly hatched robins with the nest and raised them. One died soon after refusing to eat. The other two thrived. I spent the WHOLE spring/summer digging up worms and caring for the birds. #559207

This is excellent,Daniel! Great DOF. May I ask what lens you used? #559266Mette Vendelboe Allison May 25, 2004
I think this is super composed with the hand feeding, the sharp bird and the blurry background! I think this has definite winner potential, and I wish you the best of luck, Daniel! I also tried to rescue 14 sparrows last summer without luck but with many great memorable hours! #559407Tammy Nuxoll May 25, 2004

Very impressive! First for raising the baby birds and second for the great detail in this shot. I can't believe how trusting the bird is. Really a great heart warming shot.Diane Dupuis June 15, 2004
