The Old Train Station [Contest Winner Pool March 2003]
Uploaded: March 29, 2003 06:10:39
Detroit's abandoned train station. Also Known as Michigan Central Station. Michigan Central Station once was a thriving epicenter for the city of Detroit and the whole Midwest. Now the abandoned train station sits with most of it's windows broken. The architecture of the building is beautiful and definitely deserves to be saved, I hope some day that it will!

I agree with you Kathy, it definitely is beautiful archetect, looks like it would make a grand entrance for a museum or library. I like the angle of your shot and it's a very clear image too. Judy #28281Henny Grevelink May 26, 2019
Kathy, this is a strange powerful picture. A modern building with broken windows and an old building with a beautiful shining window, what a great contrast! Great job! ;>) #73997Kathleen Clemons May 26, 2019

What a powerful image Kathy! I must have missed it when it was entered...I, too love the contrast of the beautiful architectural detailing with the shattered windows. What a statement this makes. It's very sad in all of it's beauty. Great shot, and congrats!!!! #82073Judy M. Sayers May 26, 2019
